Abelia– tiny tubular pink or white flowers all summer

Bear’s Breech (Acanthus) - tall spikes of white and purple flowers, dies to  the ground in winter

Butterfly Bush (Buddelia) - long panicles of pink, white, purple or red flowers

Beautyberry (Callicarpa) - small lilac or pink flowers

Heather (Calluna) - reddish pink, pink, white, purple spikes of summer color

Gardenia—fragrant white flowers for a protected site

Hebe—purple, pink or white flowers for a sunny, well drained site

Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus) - large flowers continuously all summer in white, pink, purple, lavender

Hydrangea—blue, purple, pink or white flowers, ball type or lacecaps

Virginia Sweetspire (Itea) - Fragrant spikes of white flowers

Potentilla—colors vary from red to orange, pink and white

Roses (Rosa) - wide variety of colors, repeat bloom if deadheaded
