EUROPEAN PLUM VARIEITES

IMPERIAL EPINEUSE

Medium sized oval fruit with purplish red skin.  Meaty, rich, sweet and firm yellow flesh. Very productive.  Ripens mid-August to mid-September. Great for eating fresh or drying. Very old variety, highly regarded. Pollinate with any other European plum.

ITALIAN PRUNE

Medium to large, oval, purplish black fruit. Juicy, greenish yellow freestone flesh turns red when cooked. Distinctive, rich, sweet flavor. Good for canning and drying. Early, reliable producer. Ripens August/September. Pollinate with any other European plum.

SENECA 

Large, reddish blue fruit .Crisp, yellow freestone flesh. Very sweet. Good for fresh eating, canning or drying. Good disease and crack resistance. Ripens August/September. Pollinate with any other European plum.

YELLOW EGG

Large, oval, golden yellow fruit. Firm, juicy, yellow, semi-freestone flesh. A little tart until fully ripe when they become rich and sweet. Good for eating fresh or canning. Very productive tree. Ripens August/September. Pollinate with any other European plum.

JAPANESE PLUM VARIETIES 

BEAUTY 

Medium size reddish purple fruit with amber flesh streaked with red. Excellent flavor. Ripens in July. Pollinate with any other Japanese plum.

HOLLYWOOD

Large, red, juicy, sweet fruit good for eating fresh and jelly making. Nice ornamental tree with pink blossoms and dark purple leaves. Ripens in August. Pollinate with any other Japanese plum.

SHIRO

Medium to large, round, yellow fruit. Very juicy, clingstone flesh with a mild, sweet flavor. Excellent for fresh eating, cooking, canning, preserves and desserts. Consistent bearer. Good pollinator for other Japanese plums. Pollinate with any other Japanese plum.
